Tarun Rathi ( Hindi तरूण राठी Urdu ترون راٹھی ) is President of AIUDF All India United Democratic Front (Hindi आल ईंडीया यूनाईटेड डेमोक्रैटिक फ्रंट Urdu آل انڈیا یونائیٹیڈ ڈیموکرئٹک فرنٹ ), Mumbai Pradesh.[1] Born in 1972 in Meerut. He was previously the Mumbai unit president of the Assam United Democratic Front (AUDF).[2]
With a degree in Commerce, Tarun came to Mumbai to try his luck in Bollywood in the year 1993, where he set-up a company called ‘Rajnandini Entertainment limited’ and produced tele-serials like ‘Urmila’, ‘Kal Hamara hai Hai’, “Veer Anjeneya’, ‘Arre Waah Shabass’ and others and firmed his standing in tinsel town.
His foray in politics began with small stint with BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) as its president for Mumbai Pradesh. His chance meeting with Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, founder of Assam based AUDF (Assam United Democratic Front), changed his socio-secular political perception and made him join the party as its President for Mumbai Pradesh. His zestful endeavor influenced Maulana Badruddin Ajamal, who turned the party an Pan India entity and changed its name to AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front) which contested assembly elections in Assam this year wining more than 20 assebly seats.
